Los Peugeot son amigos de mi familia desde hace varias generaciones. En los a\u00f1os 80, un acuerdo entre Peugeot y Lacoste bajo la presidencia de mi hermano Bernard de La Chemise Lacoste, el lanzamiento del Peugeot 205 Lacoste fue seguido de un acuerdo con Peugeot y Roland Peugeot me regal\u00f3 uno por mi 40 cumplea\u00f1os (1985) en un c\u00f3ctel en el campo de golf R.A.C.E. cerca de Madrid. El organizador era Alicio Romero, director de publicidad de Peugeot Espa\u00f1a.<\/h4>

A ra\u00edz de este encuentro, unos meses m\u00e1s tarde Alicio se puso en contacto conmigo porque quer\u00eda desarrollar la publicidad de Peugeot en Espa\u00f1a a trav\u00e9s del golf, pero en particular de Severino Ballesteros, la gran estrella de la \u00e9poca y que en ese momento vest\u00eda la camiseta de Lacoste.<\/h4>

Alicio me invit\u00f3 a comer en un restaurante de Madrid para hablar de ello. Inmediatamente llam\u00e9 a Pepe Basi, (distribuidor de la camiseta Lacoste en Espa\u00f1a (Barcelona) y le ped\u00ed el n\u00famero para llamar a Seve.<\/h4>

A ra\u00edz de esta convocatoria, el Open de Espa\u00f1a se qued\u00f3 sin patrocinador y el representante de Seve propuso que Peugeot lo fuera a partir de ese momento. Tras algunas negociaciones entre ambos, se lleg\u00f3 al acuerdo y al a\u00f1o siguiente el 1er<\/sup> Peugeot Open de Golf d\u2019Espagne et dura plusieurs ann\u00e9es.<\/h4>

Tuvo lugar en el Golf de la Moraleja bajo la presidencia de C\u00e9sar Zulueta y el director de la Moraleja, Fali Silvela este primer Open.<\/h4>

Hab\u00eda un Peugeot Lacoste 205 flotando en el lago al 18.\u00e8me<\/sup> green en compa\u00f1\u00eda de un cocodrilo (\u00a1inflable!).<\/h4>
